About the Doctors
Shawn M. Dial, DDS
Dr. Shawn Dial is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and the University of Michigan. Studying occlusion and TMJ at the Dawson Center, she has been in private practice for seven years and is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Western Michigan District Dental Society. An active participant in Children’s Dental Health Month, Dr. Dial enjoys travel and photography when she’s away from the office.
Matthew K. Gietzen, DDS
Dr. Matthew Gietzen completed his undergraduate studies at Denison University before earning his D.D.S. from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. In practice since June 2005, he volunteers with the Western Michigan Dental Foundation and is on the Board of Delegates for the Michigan Dental Association for 2006 and 2007. He’s a member of the Western Michigan District Dental Society, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Kent County Dental Society. Residing in Grand Rapids, Dr. Gietzen’s hobbies include traveling, reading, golf and downhill skiing.
Timothy H. Gietzen, DDS
After receiving a B.S. degree from Western Michigan University, Dr. Timothy Gietzen obtained his D.D.S. at the University of Michigan and completed his residency with the United States Air Force in Vandenberg, Calif. With 30 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Gietzen is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and is a member in good standing with the Western Michigan District Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Pierre Fauchard Study Club. In his free time, he enjoys golf, reading, travel and continuing his education in dentistry.
Christine M. Mason, DDS
A graduate of Georgia Tech and the University of Michigan, Dr. Christine Mason continued her education at the Dawson Center, where she studied occlusion and TMJ. In practice for seven years, she is a member of the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association. Dr. Mason holds a strong interest in dental materials and comprehensive case management and is an active participant in Children’s Dental Health Month.
Scott E. Van Timmeren, DDS
Dr. Scott E. Van Timmeren became a practicing associate at Partners In Dental Care in May 2007. Dr. Van Timmeren is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hope College. He also holds memberships in the American Dental Association and Michigan Dental Association. Dr. Van Timmeren is a native of Grand Rapids.
