Dental appliances can be used to treat a variety of conditions including teeth grinding, temporomandibular joint problems and sleep apnea.

In the case of teeth grinding (bruxism), your dentist may fit you with a mouth guard – a plastic device that fits over your teeth and protects them from grinding damage. It’s worn when you are most likely to grind your teeth, many times overnight.
