Endodontics
Endodontics treatment, or root canal therapy, is a process used to save a tooth that has become injured or decayed. It usually involves removal of the tooth’s pulp and replacing it with materials that seal off the root canal from its surrounding tissues.
Most root canal therapy often involves one to two visits to Partners In Dental Care. Medication may be placed in the pulp chamber and root canals to help eliminate bacteria. A temporary filing will be placed in the crown opening to protect it until your next visit.
During the next stage of treatment, the temporary filling is removed and the root canals are filled with a biocompatible material and then sealed.
In the final step, the dentist may restore the tooth using a crown or a filling.
